Anyone see the Harrisburg news coverage tonight?  Police found 54 guns in the home of David
Ludwig (the shooter).  This is his parents' home where he lives.  They found 20 rifles, 26 handguns and 9 "assault weapons".

ABC 27 interviewed a gunshop owner who claimed that this collection was excessive and that no normal person would have "AR's and these other assault weapons" in their collection.  Unfortunately, I missed the name of the gun shop, or that SOB would be getting a serious boycotting.  Did anyone else get to see this?  Will anyone get to see the 11pm news?  I'd love to have the name of the shop, but I am unable to see the 11pm news.

Here we go... a law abiding gun owner raked over tohe coals because his son ended up being a nutjob.

ETA:  I just realized that the math doesn't add up with that collection, but that is what the news reported.  Can you believe the media got something wrong?

Do you know which gun shop that owner owns?  I think a great big F-U is due him and any local members may want to stop shopping there.

Got to catch a glimpse of the 7pm clip and found the name.  A little googling and we have the info above.  It's damned shame.  At the beginning of the broadcast, I was looking at the stuff on the walls of the gunshop, thinking, "I need to find this place".  Now, they can kiss my ass.

If I can stay awake for the 11pm news I will try and see if I can get the name of the gun shop.  We seriously need to do something about this shop.  We could organize a call for a boycott out in front of the store with signs stating this store does not support our 2nd ammenment rights

Wanna get even angrier......watch the video clip!  "why does anyone need that many guns" asked the pea-brained reporter?

I know someone who has a BMW850 two seater sports car that can be driven over 150 mph with ease.  Why does someone NEED a car capable of such speed?  Why......because he WANTS ONE!  And he can afford a $100,000 vehicle! The same reason my other dopey friend WANTS a $300,000 airplane to fly around on the weekends.  Both of these extravagences endanger my life btw.  But guess what.....I don't care!

I am no longer tolerent of the "NEED" question!

Well, if I am ever out that way I will surely not give this shop any of my business.  I guess I could write a schathing letter to this guy but I don't know what good that will do.

Sure is a surprise to me about Doug's comments.  Especially since he's the guy that ordered my AR stripped lowers for me at cost.  Even tacked on an order for one for himself to do his own build so we got a "3 for" deal.

He also knows I'm a collector.  Now I know the smithy that works out of his shop from a previous chat I had with him one time.   I at 1st thought that they talked to the smithy, until I viewed the clip, it's Doug alright. hinking.gif    Good guy and retired Army.  May have to have a lil chat with him.

I'm still trying to figure out why "Dad's" collection was taken into custody.  Talked to a few Detectives at work and they have no idea why either.  Was told they had had 1-2 similar incidents over the years but never took a parents collection into custody.  Not when it was another family  member (not Dad) and they had the guy and weapon used in custody.
