| so what is the big deal with the florida cc license? Is it just the reciprocity with so many other states? |
That, and the fact that it has been a "shall issue" state for awhile, to include non-residents. While many states have difficult permits to get, and/or not open to non-residents, and/or do not reciprocate, FL's process is very straightforward and they have good reciprocation with quite a few states, about 27 (though several do not honor a non-resident FL permit). www.packing.org/state/index.jsp/florida is a good place to learn more. This map is from their site:

After getting the Fla. applacation and having PSP 'do the finger print card I reviewed the Delaware CCW and reciprocity requirements with mylawyer friend. Her judgement was that it's a very "grey" area. Just "prime" for the lawyers should you be called into question. .....I'm going to pass on getting the non-res Fla. permit until there is some case law or the De. AG comes out and "says" it's valid. ...JM2cents |
De. will never grant reciprocity to Pa. Pa. is "shall" issue where, in De., you have to have training to get the permit. I don't see De. lightening up ; they try to make it tough for De. residents to get a permit. |
