If Febuary is and was the Freezefest, shall May or June be the Meltfest?
What were you folks thinking as far as months, May, June, or possibly even July? I just need a month locked in before I can add a poll for what weekend. Rich_V should hopefully be here in June so that is what I'm hoping for. I'd also like to incorporate one day of general shooting and the morning after a day of long range fun because this time I will be camping. I could not camp at the last shoot because I've had a cold weather injury before and I'm more susceptible to it, but I'm going to this next time. I've also got some other ideas too but I don't have enough targets and I'm currently building a barricade or two that is portable. Maybe with enough targets we can do rifle and pistol and try and do the same thing at night with lights or NVG's too? Let me know what you think. Update 3/3/2016: If people need directions that have never been to the site, let us know when it get's closer to fo time. Update 6/1/2016: Please let us know who is coming and what targets you will be bringing so Lukeduke and Jered can get an idea on how to set up the stages

I am down.. Last weekend of may and so far every weekend in June I am open so far. And since I now have a solid 4x4 again it makes it easier. I'll have my can cannon again since it was such a hit and hopefully having a forward assist this time will keep it in action longer  I'll also have my P320 with RMR mounted for those wondering what's the deal with having one to try out as well. And maybe, just maybe, ATF willing along with an act from the gods, I'll even have my 9x19 SBR too.
I'll call Freebear tomorrow along text with P2 (who hopefully will be fully recovered from CWW2 by then), and message Cory and aztrooper to see what their schedules are. I'll talk with Rizzo too in March about it at his veteran shoot. And any lurkers from other states, you are most welcome to join us too as I like meeting arfcomers. |

Any of those months will work for me. If I was to vote for one it would be May, except I am not available during the first week of May.
I can bring two steel knock down targets and one P3DT Independence target. I may have another P3DT Independence target by that time. |

Anytime past mid-May works for me so long as I have ample time to submit my request to Uncle. Be advised however that I will probably be traveling lite this time around --- assault rifles only. (well......maybe a grenade launcher for kicks). I need to introduce my two newest kids to you guys: FAL & G3. 
Oh! And then there's that Bucket thing....

Thanks guys but lets pick a date that most can make. My plan is to come out in June and stay for a couple of months to get some stuff done at the house prior to moving out my junk. I'll then go back to NJ, load up a truck and move out here in August/September thereabouts. That leaves June & July wide open. If my memory serves they don't clamp down with fire restrictions until late June early July most years. |

4th weekend in June is the big nationwide Ham Radio camp out called "field day". Ham Radio being popular enough among the Shooting sports group that arfcom even has a ham radio forum, that might be a schedule conflict... or better yet, a chance to have a multi-tasking camping weekend!

If I don't get a helmet by then, hell ya I will. I should be getting a Ops Core Jump Helmet in the next couple weeks tho. Trying to anyways ha. Depends if i sell some stuff or not. |
