Would like to take the kids north and throw them into the cold stuff this weekend.

Did we get snow down as low as Payson, or do I have to go further north/higher?

I talked to my mom around 1700 today, it was snowing hard with about 8" on the ground.  She's north of Payson by east verde river.

It's awesome that I can drive two hours to see the pretty snow for a couple of days and then drive two hours to get the hell away from that shit. :)

It's finally starting to melt off here. Waiting for it all to be gone, so I can start shooting again. I hate losing my brass

Went to Payson and drove over to Ramsey park.  Plenty of snow and zero worries about getting stuck on a washed out or muddy forrest service road.  Thanks all.

My wife and I drive to Bartlett Lake this afternoon and all of the higher peaks to the north and east had decent amounts of snow.
