I wonder if it's going to be packed with panic buyers and ATF watching for potential terrorists?
Wonder if it's even worth the struggle this year. May just go so I can to talk to Gentec, been trying to contact them for two weeks. |

I went yesterday. Supplies of reloading components and ammo were better than I thought, and prices at Miwall very reasonable. Picked up a few bargains, which is always a pleasant surprise. Said hello to a lot of old friends, which makes the day worthwhile even if I buy nothing.
One thing that did piss me off: Senator John McCain had the effrontery to have his minions at the show asking for votes to put him on the ballot... just days after voting to fuck us all with "universal background checks" (aka federal gun registration, closing the gunshow loophole)  . I would have signed for one of his primary opponents (also there) but wanted to do my homework on who is best first.

They just weren't making a big enough deal about it to even get the show people to call over the load speaker to move the cars. Glad I could help them with it. I stopped on my way out and demanded my parking fee back. They did give it back. |

News story describes the gun as a semi auto...

| Lots of stories from different folks. Most stories are that it was a Tokarev 7.62x25 that was purchased by the son of vendor outside the SAR building who then purchased a box of ammo. Took it back to his table and the father zip tied the trigger with a round in the chamber. In the lower left lung, nicked spine and out the upper left lung, front to back. No one seems to know how the cartridge got in the chamber. Some reports of the round ending up in the ceiling. |
