| If you had 1000-2000 dollars to start up a small business what would you shoot for and why? |
|
DIY solar company.
Solar is SUPER SUPER easy to setup. The issue is there is not a lot of information on how to do it yourself. I did a few panel DC system for a home project and it was super easy and cheap. Those assholes that want to charge you 30,000 for 25 panels on your roof are robbery. You can DIY your own solar system and have APS/SRP come out and bless to hook it into their grid. |
|
Re: solar, it hasn't become much of an issue yet, but lenders are requiring that the solar equipment be removed frequently, due to the fact that the panels and the batteries degrade, and it could turn out to be a negative feature for the home.
I would look into what the cost would be to setup a food table or a little cart at local events. Things like weekend gun matches, sports games, etc. Once you figured out what the demand was, you just sell everything and call it a day. |
| yea plenty of OT but I am hoping in the future to get into the real estate game. Want to have a decent foundation when it comes to owning my own business. I like the idea of working for myself and having the wife doing the same. Don't think I will be happy until this happens or the Marshals start hiring again and who knows when that is gonna be. |

Quoted: I thought about the food cart as well but being in le work my schedule is not set in stone. I suppose I could find a worker that I can trust but still open to other Ideas Maybe you can work your way around that but I figured you could make a killing selling fresh grilled cheeses on the weekends around mill avenue. Especially at night when people are leaving the bars. |
| I think it would be easier if I had something like Mill avenue here but I am in Tucson and it's pretty tame. Had someone mention to me ammo and gun accessory online sales. I guess with that I don't know if that is possible or if I would even be competitive in today's market. |

ETA: Nvm. I read it wrong. That sucks you're in Tuscon.. |
| Downtown Tucson has picked up dramatically and seems to be supporting several food carts full-time during the day. Strangely, evenings (even on the super-busy Downtown Saturday Night and Second Saturday events) apparently sucks for the food cart guys. But daytime events seems to have a huge demand for food carts even now. |
