| Some friends are taking me to a Dbacks game tomorrow. Can I get through with my CCW piece or do I need to leave it at home? |

Quoted: If you have to carry in violation of the rules, don't feel bad when they bust you and you loose your CCW. Why don't you explain to us how I'll get busted and lose my CCW. We're all waiting. And my rules say I carry everywhere that there's not a metal detector. That's the only rule I care about. |

I know they have metal detectors at Phoenix Mercury games now ( don't hassle me it was for a kids birthday party). I had to have my wife bury my Kershaw in the bottom of her purse so they couldn't see it.
It is one thing to be asked to leave Costco or a restaurant because you have your gun on you. It is quite a different story to carry into a large venue like a major sporting event with lots of news and police around. That is bad PR. If you don't feel safe going with out your gun then just don't go. |
| I don't think they have detectors at BOB. But let's assume they have metal detectors. If they do you just walk up and say, I need to check in a pistol. They will tell you they can't and then you'll just have to walk back to your vehicle and store it. No biggie. It's totally worth it to carry 100% of the time. After all, what would the President do. |

I assume they have a license to serve alcohol, so the special "guns in bars" law would presumably apply, with the elevated criminal penalties for non-compliance (not just being asked to leave). However, for this legal provision to kick in, they would have to post the approved "no guns" sign near their liquor license, and you may legally enter the premises for a short time to verify that the it is indeed properly posted.

Amazing how when you ask for a simple, factual answer you get more of the internet Dr. Phil's than you get answers. I'm starting to get annoyed at people who have nothing of value to add to a conversation but still feel the need to open their cake hole.

As mentioned, was there earlier this year, think they just check purses and bags. No opened containers, etc. I did hear that metal detectors were to be installed in many MLB parks by the start of the '15 season, including the D'backs. Not sure if that is still on track? |

Quoted: They do have some guards with wands at random points. Easy enough to just go to another gate though as they're not wanding 100% of the attendee's. I've never felt like I was doing anything wrong carrying at D-Backs games. |
