Anyone came across any good lowers lately around the Phoenix area?
I'm looking for a Noveske chainsaw lower, but I might settle for another brand. Want to be able to walk in and buy. Don't want to deal with FFL fees and shipping anymore. I know of Sun Devil mfg. ETA: Just moved here btw. |

I believe they had two different types of them. |

There's really no advantage in going with a Noveske lower other than getting the cool roll stamp. They make a fine product, but there really isn't much that differentiates one forge lower from another, or one billet receiver from another as long as they all meet mil spec. Everything else is cosmetics. I don't begrudge anyone who likes the look or roll stamp of one manufacturer over another -- in fact, I have a Noveske -- but there are plenty of good local manufacturers of lowers (I have a Sun Devil). QD is a good company.

I really don't remember the prices. I want to say gen 1 was on sale for $140-150ish. Gen 2 was into the mid to upper $200 range. I could be wrong. Give them a ring. Quoted:

I believe the trigger guard is made into the lower and the magazine well is flared. That's my guess without looking it up. |

US Autoweapons in Scottsdale had Anderson ($89) last week when I stopped by at lunch. They also had Spikes color fill dueling dong spider lowers. Don't remember the price right offhand. I think $114?
Was at QuickGuns in Mesa yesterday after we left the festival thingy. Didn't look specifically at lowers but they had pretty good prices on parts and had some lowers in stock. Only open Fri-Sat though. |
