just picked up my lowers from my ffl today. got a lower parts kid to build one and stash the other two lowers. parts kit included magpul grip. just wanted to see it mocked up, so i was trying to position the grip on the lower, but it seems to small to have the part of the lower seat in the grip. tried to fit the grip to all three lowers. same problem. do you need to pry the inside plastic part of the grip a bit to get it started on the metal? then hammer it to the seated position? seems like such a small incriment where the plastic hits the metal that would work...

but again, my first build. havent picked up any of the tricks involved, and im sure theres a few...

suggestions?

It is a very tight fight but it will go on.  I usually just get it on far enough to let the screw do the rest of the work.

Just like women, some are going to be tighter than others.

This.  Always a super tight fit on every one I've ever put on.  The Magpul MOE and MIAD grips always seem to run tighter than the standard old school grips as well.
