For the past few days I have been teaching an advanced handgun class for LEO and Military at the SERP range in Tucson. The ILEETA Conference had given training to Chicago area police folks in using the Green Lasered SIRT Glock in training. One of my LEO friends took the training and put me through it, so I decided to try it out on several students. I found that this system allowed a student to do MANY repetitions of every skill being taught including mag changes and when they had the physical movements down we switched to live fire. My gosh, because the green laser can be seen in sunlight we knew where the student was hitting during the drills what we were pleased with is that there was direct carryover with the live handgun. We saved much ammunition and came out with very high scores. We have more work to do but my findings are exactly what my friends with the Chicago area PD are finding.
