| Bobby Q was DELICIOUS!!!! HTF did not disappoint with this recommendation! |
|
Quoted: Funny you say that, the wife and I are going there in an hour for the first time. Here is hoping it lives up to the hype Any recommendations on what to get? Q rolls are good, the onion block. The pulled pork meal is amazing, if you get just the pulled pork with no bread you get 3 sides which is better IMO. The Mac and cheese is world famous there. The cornbread is free before each meal its amazing. You really can't go wrong. If you like Amber Ale their beer they make in house is great too. |

I just went there last week for the first time... freaking delicious!
If you want one place that does it all excellent, Bobby Q is the place to go! I got the 3 meat with st louis ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. My gf got the bbq chicken so I got to try that too. It was all awesome. So far, Bobby Q has the best restaurant ribs I have had in the valley so far. My gf and I will be going back to bobby-Q and I will be taking my dad there! I still think Rudy's edges them out on brisket, but that and sausage are the only things Rudy's does awesome, their ribs and chicken suck imho, it is only like they have them on the menu just because people are going to expect it.

What dish do you guys recommend there? All of it! You really can not go wrong! I just went on a 20 minute bike ride (new to biking, still building stamina) you bastard.
Now I feel the need and compulsion to come over there and undo all my effort. ETA: Heading out. Fuck it... I'll just bust my ass come Thursday (my next day off). ETA2: At the place now. Gotta say... it smells AMAZING here! Ordered the three meat platter with baby back ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Good enough for a date as long as you don't date some hippy vegetarian or something .... My buddy is dating a hippy vegetarian and he brought her there on a double date with me and my wife, she got the fish.... stupid. |

Have to say, that place was awesome! Glad I went! I ordered basically the same thing that Freeride21a did... except for sides I had string fries and Mac and Cheese. Everything was delicious! The cornbread, the mac and chease, the fries, the ribs, the brisket, the shredded pork. Simply delicious! Definitely recommend anyone who hasn't been there yet, to try it. My waitress was also a very cute, and courteous, super friendly girl who sort of reminded me of Bernadette from "Big Bang Theory". I'm just ashamed I haven't tried it until now.

got to try that place one of these days. Dude you like lots of meat right? Well both kinds.
I think I'll try it next week when I'm in town. Hmmm, which reminds me, 2 days until I'm back in Phoenix. |

I tried this place tonight. The pulled bbq beef was excellent and so was the sauce. The macaroni was alright. It honestly seemed too cheesy and salty though. It was creamy which I liked however. The cornbread was excellent. The woman who took my order was very friendly and she was so great I think I'm gonna call and tell the management how great she was. |

After reading this (and other threads) on Bobby Q's my wife and I went there for lunch today. WOW! It was was awesome. I had the sampler platter with ribs, brisket, and smoked sausage with mac and cheese. She had a catfish po'boy with slaw and potato salad. I will definitely go back. The corn bread was a good as it gets and the little donuts for the ride home were perfect.
I love BBQ and this place is really really good IMO. |

This place is pretty good but it's also kinda in the hood. Have any of you gone there at night when the restaurant is closed and it's just a bar/nightclub type of thing? I did, once. They wouldn't let me in, apparently solid colored shirts are gang-wear. I'm about as white and non-gangster as it gets.
