The war hero's response to my email asking him to vote against any new gun legislation. Dear Mr. Pig: Thank you for contacting my office regarding the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, and its impact on federal gun legislation. I appreciate your taking the time to share your views with me. As you know, on December 14, 2012, a mentally unstable gunman committed a senseless atrocity by murdering twenty students and six staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Connecticut. While many Americans continue to try to rationalize this tragedy it remains clear that the inhumane and depraved actions of this individual gunman appear to be motivated solely by his extremely disturbed mental state. On January 16, 2013, President Obama and his administration introduced a twenty-three point plan which lays out both executive and legislative proposals that would attempt to prevent future violence. As the details of the President’s proposals become more clear, I look forward to reviewing them, and working with my colleagues to find sensible solutions that respect the Second Amendment but also help us prevent these type of horrific events from ever happening again. While I am an unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment, please know that I will seriously consider all reasonable public safety legislation that comes before the Senate. Thank you once again for contacting my office. Please do not hesitate to do so on this or any other issue of concern. Sincerely, John McCain United States Senator |

McCain pushed the idea of closing the so-called "gun show loophole" during the Clinton years. He has never been on our side. McCain and Flake will likely vote for universal background checks. 50/50 chance that they'll vote for an AWB and/or mag capacity restrictions. Keep calling and writing both of them so their aides will know how we feel. Not that it much matters. They don't have to worry about reelection for a few years. McCain already knows that he can fool the majority of voters with BS in campaign ads..... remember "Build the danged fence"? We should have dumped McCain in the primary but enough suckers believed his ads and sent him back to DC. |
Yep, got the same reply, either he needs to get rid of the douche bag that sent this reply or he is serving his last term! Something has to give. He has demaonstrated recently that he is more liberal that we need...maybe there is a reason he lost to BHO in 2008

That guy disgusts me. Got the same email. I voted libertarian last go around when he ran. He doesn't represent me. He is old enough what does he care what he does in the senate. Wasn't he thinking of having john Kerry as his running mate for VP at one time?
Now on top of his stupid response I also have a Nancy pelosi jr as my rep, Ann Kirkpatrick. She said the same thing. |

I received the same response. I spoke to a friend that works at the capitol, he said that there is almost no chance of getting him out of office the next time that he's up for re-election, unfortunately but that there is some talk of trying to find a good candidate to challenge him in the primary.
