Amazon will finally be collecting sales tax on transactions starting next year. Looks like I need to find another online retailer.


P. S, yes I know about "use tax" so don't start in on that. Figured I'd get that out of the way before the herp derp gets too deep.

Meh, with state sales tax at 6.6% it's still cheaper then paying Glendale's 10.2% sales tax rate. I'll still gladly use Amazon.

This is sad news, but I always expected it would happen eventually. Still probably cheaper than buying locally, especially when you factor in county/ city sales tax.

Yeah I knew it'd eventually happen, especially since they do have a physical presence here. *shrug* I love me some Amazon anyways.
Now what has had me completely baffled, is for the last year or more I've been taxed on Kindle books I've downloaded, yet not taxed on Bluray disks or other physical objects that were packaged and physically shipped to me.
