I just spent the week around the Sierra Vista area with some short runs to the Phoenix area and Tombstone. I have a CHL from Texas and I know there is reciprocity but what I don't know is the particulars of Arizona law. Specifically, when a place has that "Gun Busters" sign you guys have, does that carry the weight of law. I know I should have known before I went out there but in the prep for the trip it was forgotten. Not an excuse just the facts. In other words, how much did I break the law?

you can only carry in places that serve alcohol concealed and with a license. Other than that OC or CC carry pretty much anywhere you want. The signs hold no legal weight unless someone asks you to leave and you refuse. Then you are trespassing. I open carry and ignore the signs in most places. It is usually only posted there for liability reasons by larger corporations and the managers and employees don't give a shit. The only time I have EVER been asked to leave is once a few years adgo at a babies r us. |
