Not looking good for Kolb.
My shocked face

Without getting all fired up and mad over the Kolb deal I'll just talk about the rest of the game.
Justin Bethel - This kid could be a stud. Good motor and always found his way to the ball. Might be our special teams standout this year. Alfonso Smith - Kid has some nice upside, hopefully he sticks around again this year with Beanie/Williams both coming back from injuries. Stewart Bradley - Huge improvement from last season. Was in on a ton of plays, I like Lenon but I think Bradley will be taking his starting spot. Laron Byrd - Every year the Cards get a young receiver that shines while playing against the 3/4s and gets everyone excited. Byrd will be this years fan favorite underdog overachiever. O-line - First game of the year but looked like they are slipping back to old habits. If their play isn't improved this year Grimm better be getting walking papers. Tackling????? How in the hell does an entire team of players make it into the NFL and not learn to wrap up? Way too many arm tackles or trying to knock guys down with your shoulder. Entire defense/cover teams had better be hitting dummies repeatatively this week. |

Quoted: Skelton is our guy no doubt,I think he's going to continue to improve as the games go on.Kolb was a waste of money but Fitz wanted him so what are you gonna do right? If Bradley keeps doing the Carlton dance he should be a starter...that shits funny. ![]() http://i600.photobucket.com/albums/tt84/bluetick357/SackDance_original.gif Jim Carrey in a Cards Uniform? |

Me!!!
I hope he really does better. I like him as a person and I really want to like him as our quarterback. This pre-season will be the deciding factor for me. Where is everyone watching the game tonight? I am going to BWW next to ASU, but am open if anyone else is gonna be watching at a sports bar in Tempe/Chandler/Mesa. |

Jesus, someone got shot in the face in the parking lot. ![]() Fucking Raiders fans are the scum of the earth. At some point, the raiders(and dodgers) fans need to be punished. I dont know how, I dont know by whom, but it has been out of control for a long time, and getting worse. I remember Ram's/Raiders games back when they were both in so cal... basically a stadium sized brawl for 4 hours. No where else is like that. And now people are dying or ending up permanently jacked up. |
| I found this thread by accident. I was born (1959) and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri. I somehow became a Cardinals fan when everyone, and I mean EVERYONE lived and breathed Kansas City Chiefs. I followed the Cardinals my whole life. It broke my heart when they moved to Phoenix, but that's "bidness". (get it?) They had some really good and some really bad teams over the years, but they were my guys all the way. Jim Hart is my all-time favorite with Larry Wilson a close second. Some of Roger Werhli's relatives lived just down the street. Anyway, I've always wondered how much the Cardinals organization and fans nowadays embrace their great players from the St. Louis Cardinals era. I'd love to hear any thoughts or comments along those lines. |

I turned the game off with only a few minutes to go and they lose ![]()

It was a great game. Skelton was a big loss, but Kolb put his big boy pants on and ran the offense like I had expected him too last season. Maybe getting benched gave him some clarity. I saw Skelton really close up as he passed me on the cart going off the field, he looked like he was in a lot of pain. We shall see...
