I went with my local plumber (lives in Gilbert) and he installed the water softner that is manufactured and warranted by a company in Mesa. This way, if there is any problem with the unit, he is familiar with it and can get parts quickly. Had it installed about t and a half years ago and have not had a problem with the unit which is the way it should be. Just keep feeding it salt.

When I moved into my house in Arizona it didn't have a water softener or a reverse osmosis system. I researched systems and
decided on a Fleck 5600. Its been great so far. Whatever you do don't get those cheapie all-in-one softners like from Sams Club or some of the home stores. Get a meter demand softener that times its cycling based upon your water quality and your water usage. The irony is you can get a good system online for only a couple hundred bucks or so more than the cheapies. Plus you can install it yourself easily or have it installed very resonably assuming your house has a soft water loop. This is the system I bought- a 32,000 grain Fleck 5600SXT. www.qualitywaterforless.com/Fleck_5600_MTR_s/29.htm |

I always try to support local businesses when possible. |
