Heres the rub... I have a Kimber Pro Carry 2. Love it... but recently, I have entertained the thought of trading it off for either an AR10 or AR15. Have I gone mad? Am I thinking tooooo far outside of the norm? Are there any others out there that have pondered something similar?

Do you have another concealed carry pistol to replace the kimber?

As long as you aren't trading away your daily carry do what you have to do man.

You could always part an Ar together a little at a time.
The answer is always both.

Last I checked this was, AR15.COM, if you have other pistols get an AR, besides Kimbers are overrated.

you probably wont get much for trade value towards an AR for that way over rated Kimber Pro Carry 2. you would get $700 out of it if you are lucky. Id suggest selling it privately thats the only way you would recoup anything close to what you probably paid for it.

I sold off a Kimber Ultra Tactical once. Bought another one within a year cause sometimes you don't know what you got till it's gone.
Sold a two tone Ed Brown Kobra one time and have felt pretty sick about it many times. (to a guy from Tucson, please sell it back to me)

See the pattern?

Yup, I have a Kimber Custom II in stainless that is the only 1911 I still own.  It's a great shooter.

Save and build your own AR & don't sell your Kimber, You'll be happier in the end. And building an AR yourself can be cheaper also.
