what i'm hoping for is someone who can take my door measurements for a interior beedroom door, and have the hinges and door knobs lined up.
so is lowes/home depot or is there another place to go for this project. |

That depends, Brother...like on the dimensions of your door. H x W x L
If you have a plain-jane, run-o-the-mill door, chances are the size will be ok, but your hinge location may not be. Get out the old Craftsman tape measure and measure your old one, then start hunting. Big boxes will have the standards and sometimes will even order a custom door for you. Then actual job of "hanging" a door ain't too bad. If worse come to worse, pry off the side mouldings, unhinge the door, rip out the old door frame and casing (use a single hacksaw blade or sawzall to cut thru nails holding it in) and just install a brand new "pre-hung" door (which already has the door frame attached). Woila!. Even a dummy like me has done this. YouTube has vids on this. Hang a bedroom Door |
