So I just got rightfully pulled over by a PimaCo SD officer and thankfully am safely at home now to post my experience.  i figure that it's all to common that we post about real or perceived negative issues with our encounters with our local LEO but rarely do we  mention our encounters with our brothers with a badge where they do their jobs well (which I am confident is the vast majority of the time).

I just got pulled over for a false start pull out into traffic which happened to be right in front of a local LEO.  I was caught off guard and didn't really have my act together as I searched my glove compartment for my papers.  The officer rightly inquired as to whether I was carrying, which I was not, but indicated concern that I did not have my act together and was concerned that I seemed somewhat frazzled in getting him my papers.

I indicated that I fully appreciated his concerns for his safety and apologized for not having my information more readily in order.  Once my papers were presented, he respectfully sent me on my way.

IMHO, I think all was legitimate in my stop and believe the LEO did the sort of job we all would appreciate and respect.

Not really a big deal but for me it was another example of how well my local county LEO in PIMA Co do their jobs (never mind that they work for Sheriff Dipstick which they can't help).

thanks for putting a positive report out there. As with most things, the only reviews that are typically broadcasted are the negative ones.

What is a "False Start pull out"? Can you post the statute number from your ticket, I've never heard of this violation.

Well that's just my not so good way of saying that I didn't make a good enough look so when I started to pull out into traffic I had to quickly hit the brakes b/c I realized the oncoming traffic was closer than I thought on first glance.  The officer didn't cite me, he just checked out my documents and sent me on my way.

In other news, 328 aircraft landed safely at Sky Harbor today.

So what was the reason he pulled you over?  Certainly he gave you one, or did he just say "Papers please!".

If cited, a different review of the experience would likely be posted.
