gays have been in the military for years ,I'm against it myself . It is now going to be in the open ,we will see if it was a mistake in time . To me it is wrong ,but WTF do I know anyway . The SODOMITES won this one ,and time will tell if it hinders or helps the military .

| I personally am against it, but I will rely on my friend who are in the military to inform me if it causes problems or not. My own feelings, I think, do not count because I am not able to serve (asthma and bad knees). I believe it should be up to those in uniform to decide. |

| I retired in 2005 after doing 20 years in the Air Force. I am not so stupid to think I didn't serve with gays, however the issue never came up. As long as you did your job, what you did off duty was none of my buisness. My only issue is....whats next? What happens when some male wants to wear earrings to work? Can or will the military marry same sex on base? Can they get base housing? I know it's far fetched, but this is only the first step. Eventually we'll be looking at the military doing sex-change operations on the tax payers dime. Will basic training now be men, women, gay men and gay women? The "yes" vote was payback for the gay support for the presidient and others. Using the militay for a social experiment is stupid. |

I served 4 years and it has to do with the morals of our country we have gotten so far removed from the values that made this country. Wrong is wrong no matter how you wrap it or disguise it. Congratulations to the polluted side once again for showing us just how f@#ked the direction of our Country is.
And to those that say how wonderful all your experiences have been with gays, I have met some really nice, funny, entertaining, drug addicts, felons, alcoholics, etc. But does that make it any more moral and right? Does it help.our society at all? Sorry wrong is wrong no matter how you try and spin it. Political correctness will be the downfall of our society..... |

I'm with you, and I have had the exact oppsite expierience these guys had, first off I've never met a gay guy in the military or even thought some guy might be gay. I have met tons of lesbians though and they are always the very worst soldiers. |

How does restricting somebody's rights because the are different fall under those values? If someone wants to serve their country they should be able to. |

Yet everyday our public school systems manipulate our youth into this and most just sit back and watch it happen. The schools today force the Diversity Kool Aid down the kids throats everyday and look what is happening. I tell people if they want something different then what our Country is founded on they can do what our founding Fathers did go look for someplace else to live.....I will say this as the weaker get weaker the strong get stronger who do you think the winning team is? |

On a personal level I don't care. I know who some of the gay dudes are already and it doesn't bother me. I do think that this will open a bunch of cans of worms and DADT was a good compromise that should have been kept. DADT enforced discretion and eliminated potential drama. |

During 6 years active from 88-94 everyone knew who the dykes were. They were mostly pretty cool to work with in engineering. I am wondering what will happen to the people that would otherwise use "I have teh gay" as a means to get out. That was 85% of discharges under DADT, and not all of them were actually gay. As for the morality part, we already have plenty of adulterers and serial fornicators. A few sodomites aren't going to make the .mil any more or less hellbound, just add to the potential for intra-unit drama and acrimony. Hooah tholdiers. |

As more and more people get caught "in-the-act", decisions will have to be made regarding enforcement of conduct regulations. The activist lawyers, like Gloria Allred, and the ACLU will be bringing suit against the military for any attempt at behavioral enforcement. They'll turn the military into a homosexual free-for-all. |
