I got my pamphlet in the mail and here is what I'm thinking - tell me what you think...
106 - YES 107 - YES 109 - YES 110 - YES 111 - YES 112 - YES 113 - I don't know anything about this I really don't care about this one because I hate unions of all kind.... 203 - NO 301 - NO 302 - YES Tell me if I'm off base and school me, or give me your thoughts - 11/2 is coming quick.... |

I prefer not to change anything unless absolutely necessary. Some of the propositions are such a cans of worms I wouldn't touch them, the first two especially.
I was meaning to look at those. I didn't read any of the opinions. PROP 106 - NO not necessary (employers that require health insurance as part of a compensation package should be legal, I don't see a provision for that) PROP 107 - NO not necessary (it took a lot for minorities and woman to get where they are, I'm not ready to take that away in one fell swoop, employment OK but not education) PROP 109 - YES necessary PROP 110 - NO not necessary (sounds like bullshit to me) PROP 111 - NO not necessary PROP 112 - YES may be necessary and costs nothing (I may change my mind on this one) PROP 113 - YES unions blow - this just makes union voting a secret ballot PROP 203 - YES necessary - cheap effective pain killers are a good thing if properly prescribed (never smoked pot, will probably try it before I die, does it help back pain?) PROP 301 - NO not necessary stop fucking spending money and you wont need to rob voter mandated funds (I may change my mind on this one) PROP 302 - NO not necessary ditto (I may change my mind on this one, too) |

If in doubt vote No, maintain the status que as it were.
My thoughts: 106 - YES ...Heath care - Individual choice over .gov bureaucrats every day. 107 - YES ...Civil Rights - Makes affirmative action unconstitutional. 109 - YES ...Realy makes no changes, but pisses off the bunny hugers, so yes. 110 - YES ... I don't think I see any downsides here. Certainly willing to be convinced otherwise. 111 - NO ...It just makes elections worse, since it would force the parties to run a ticket rather than pick the best person for Sec. State. 112 - NO ...The legislature supports it, so I'm against it. Earlier deadline for initiatives tips the balance away from grass roots to paid petition gatherers. 113 - YES ... I've worked in a Union Shop before. I HATE unions. 203 - YES ... I'd rather see us end the war on (some) drugs entirely, but medical MJ will piss of the feds, so yes. 301 - YES ... I opposed "Growing Smarter" back in 1998. State trust land is supposed to be used to fund education, not buy playgrounds for rich hikers. 302 - YES ...Cigarette taxes should go into the general fund, not pay for this liberal wish list. I'm pretty much always opposed to voter mandated funds for stuff. It's always left wing "feet firmly in the clouds" type stuff. |
| Glad to see that they're a lot of pot heads out there. The VA will be looking for guinea pigs out there in the veteran community, and I put my name on the list. Should everything work out, I'll let you know how it works with back pain. I have an untreated ruptured disk, so I'm hurting all the time. |

106 - YES - fuck obama 107 - YES - fuck affirmative action. If i can make it as a brown person so can anyone else shit is racist 109 - YES - no reason this shouldn't be in the state constitution with the wacko tree huggers having so much influence in washington. hunting and fishing is what funds protection of environment. I support making sure that doesn't change. 110 - ? Im leaning yes but im not really sure what this is about. I don't really want to make it easier for cities to buy up state trust land way the fuck out beyond where there is development. forces me to drive too far to shoot and i see no reason for it. if anyone feels like clarifying what this changes im all ears. 111 - ? leaning no. I don't really see why we need them running on the same ticket as governor. no point in doing this at all in my opinion. 112 - NO - as far as i know all petitions are verified before they can go on the ballot so i don't see why making the deadline earlier would make anything better. Just leaves a bigger gap where something could piss me off and i wouldn't have time to do anything about it. 113 - YES ... the only thing that card check does is open the door to intimidation. i support secret ballots and think it is a good law to enforce 203 - NO- I saw absolutely no benefits in calfornia due to this except more fraud from potheads looking for legal weed. I support treating it more like alcohol but the medical shit is stupid. 301 - YES the state and the fed alread maintain and preserve land. this iss a liberal piggy bank fund and we don't need it. 302 - YES I smoke and i pay the tax. We aren't getting rid of a smoke tax so id rather it not be going to something that has shown lack of results. http://goldwaterinstitute.org/article/5062 |

Quoted: Not enough that I've ever had to budget for it. It should at least go to health care or cancer treatment, or something remotely related ![]() My problem is that the dept that manages this effort costs 1/3 of what is collected. That is BS - obviously somebody is getting rich. Another fine example of bigger gov't with less results. |

Quoted: 203-no, I dont want fucks moving here to my beautiful because its easy to score some weed. If this was legalizing all marijuana i would say yes, but medical marijuana is a cop out That does not compute. You're against medical marijuana because you say it'll attract folks to come to AZ who just want to smoke pot - but you're in favor of legalizing all marijuana here ... don't you think legalizing all marijuana would make even MORE potheads want to come here? |

Yes you are right, I though about that after I voted no on the prop, if we are going to legalize Marijuana we shouldn't be the first state to do it. |
