I just got my absentee ballot in the mail. I know who I'm voting for the national stuff, but I don't know too much about state politics.

There are 5 choices, pick two for state house.

Kelly Townsend

Steve Urie

Eddie Farnsworth

Laurin Hendrix

Paul Howell

I'm curious how these folks measure up, and what their 2nd amendment stances are.

Farnsworth is pretty solid 2A.  Don't know any of the others.  Check over a the AzCDL Political Action Committee Website for their recommendations/information.

They have Farnsworth and Hendrix as being recommended

I'm in District 1 and have been struggling with some of the same issues. I've finally decided on the House congressional candidate. I think.

I've been reading a lot and listening to their messages. It's interesting that they're only attacking the incumbent dems, immigration, the economy and of course Obama and his policies.

Right now, in order of preference for me:

1- Bradley Beauchamp

2- Paul Gosar

3- Sydney Hay (I think)

I actually had a sit-down conversation with Beauchamp and was quite impressed.

The only state office candidate I'm decided on is Karen Fann.

This general election I WILL NOT vote for any candidate with a 'D' next to their name.

Also, I'm voting for Hayworth as a protest to McCain

Oh, goodbye Ann Kirkpatrick. And FBHO

I am in District 22 as well.

From least favorite to whom I shall most likely vote for:

Steve Urie - He likes big government while purporting to embrace small government.

Kelly Townsend - Embraces tea party ID while not championing any worthwhile issue.

Paul Howell - Has potential, but is unwilling to identify with any conservative issues.  With so much of an education background, he could be championing this issue.*

Eddie Farnsworth - I am no fan of the Farnsworth developments, yet he does have a solid voting record.

Laurin Hendrix - He is bright, articulate, and he also has a solid voting record.

*A massive portion of the state budget is K-12 education.  These candidates all list jobs, education, and secure borders as their platform.  Gee, thanks.  We all support that.  How about an informed, achievable platform for some credibility?
