Ok, I am in wally world, looking for .45. Guy asks me for help, he tells me there's no .45. Done.
Then he asks me if I'm carrying concealed. I said yeah, he said I am not doing a good job at it.
He said in AZ, you have to fully conceal, or fully open.
About 1/8 -1/4 was hanging below my shirt. I told him that I had never heard that rule before, and somebody was "interpreting" the law how they saw it.
Who's right who's wrong.
I am currently going over the stats and regs looking for this.
What sayeth the hive?

The walmart commando is an idiot.

Forever, Az's open carry law was "exposed with at least an inch of holster leather showing". pretty liberal there.

Now with CCW and future Con Carry, total concealment by whatever means.

There is no "either or" law.

BTW- The only thing he can do is have the manager of the establishment ask you to leave. That or put up the "no compensated desert eagles" sign.

Sounds like he was working up the balls to ask you to leave or to create a confrontation show he could flex his "authoritay" within the store.

Never heard of that BS.  If you open carry you are OK.  If you have a permit (soon without a permit) to CCW then concealed is ok.  Either way, if they see it, it's open carry, if they don't then its concealed.  F'ing tards (that guy, not you).

He's flat wrong.  There is no law on the books that says a concealed weapon must remain concealed, unlike some states where "flashing" can get you in trouble.  If you're covered up, a CCW permit is fine however it happens to be.  If you don't, then open-carry is legal.

He's an idiot.

Wally guy is, as expected, a moron.

Can we ask which Wally World location this was at?

A guy at the Wal-Mart counter once told me that semi-jacketed hollow points were illegal because they can explode when they hit something and therefore are too dangerous; he's telling me this as I'm buying a box of semi-jacked hollow points for my .38 spl. A different guy told me he has a Barrett .50 that he brought back with him from the Army, since he was, of course, a Special Forces sniper. And another Wal-Mart genius informed me (thank goodness) that you should always drag a body into your house if you shoot a bad guy on your lawn, or if he falls out of the window after you shoot him.

I enjoy correcting people when they are wrong, but sometimes I just like to take it all in, you know what I mean?

Oh yeah, and your guy? An idiot.

I take pride in informing people who ask ,laws (especially about firearms) and I was 95% sure I was correct. So I gave him my email address and told him to have whoever told him that to email me. It was Goodyear location at Estrella parkway. He said he learned that at his Scottsdale Gun Club Training.
