Hey guys, not sure if you saw this lovely bit of news out of Seattle: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1041741 I'm thinking a good response by myself is to quit patronizing Starbucks for awhile first and foremost. I would encourage you all to find a local non-chain coffee shop to buy your daily caffeine dosages at Trying to think of other stuff I buy out of Seattle.... I realize Starbucks is not the Seattle City Council, but it's about the only thing I can conveniently choose to boycott that I routinely buy from a company based there. Boycotts are stupid anyway IMHO - all these various boycotts of our state will wind up backfiring. Looks like San Diego is already experiencing a nice financial impact from AZ residents boycotting travel to SD in response of their boycott of AZ. |

Quoted: Starbucks came down hard on the RKBA side recently. We need to support that company for their political stand. Find another Seattle product to avoid. I wouldn't say they came down hard on the side of RKBA - they took a more ambivalent stance of "we abide by state law". Don't get me wrong - that's better than most companies will do, so I do give them my business. I'm kind of at a loss thinking of other stuff based in Seattle that I give my money to - maybe that means I'm already effectively boycotting Seattle ![]() |

Starbucks simply used good business sense and stayed neutral. I can make a better cup of coffee at home for far less than Starbucks charges. Seattle is a liberal mecca, I lived in that area for 20 years and watched it go from conservative to liberal. Too bad, it was a great place to live, work, hunt, hike, camp and fish. |
| True. I'm a coffee neanderthal so I'll drink anything and I sure as hell am not paying Starbucks prices on my own. When the wife wants an overpriced frilly drink it doesn't piss me off any more and I'll probably order a large, black coffee and watch the pretentious douche behind the counter meltdown over the term "large." |

I lived there 30 years and it really did turn into a liberal $hithole. 10 years in AZ has been a good colon cleanse for the NW nonsense. I and my $$$ just won't go back and visit. ETA: It was a very good area to ride M/Cs however. I liked riding there better than here. |
