I for one am NOT boycotting AZ for any reason whatsoever!  The family and I will be there next Friday afternoon.  Headed to Mesa to see the in-laws for a week of R&R.  We usually get to Tucson around 1600.  Coming through on I10.  Anything to watch out for?

You shouldn't have any problems.  All of the major I-10 construction is finished near downtown.  I'm not sure if anything is still being worked on up on the north side of town.

Just don't get off I-10.  Helen Keller is alive and driving in Tucson.

I-10 west of town is tore up... just past Cortaro Rd. They are building a bridge across the 10. It chokes down from 3 lanes to 2 lanes for a mile or two, then opens back up. Shouldn't slow you down much though.

tucson is inviting folks who are over 90 and blind to drive.  It is part of La Bamba.

So beware of the Killer Blue Hairs?  Sounds like my part of Texas.  Senior living centers are popping up quicker than fire ant mounds after a rain.  I'm in Dallas and most drivers here are bufoons anyway.

So is this Campbell/Ft.Lowell thing at the intersection of the 2 a few miles east of I-10?  If that's the case then I'm fine because I get the last fuel in El Paso or Lordsburg.

What's the lowest speed limit on 10 through Tucson these days?  I always have a hard time there after cruising for several hours at 80 I feel like I'm crawling when I have to get down to 55.

55 on parts of the freeway.  Be careful or you will be paying for our street repair.
I-10 is pretty nice to travel on.  If you are going to spend some time in Tucson Comfort Suites on I 10 and Ina Road is nice.  From there back to Prince Road go west to Campbell, turn right and go past Ft. lowell road a boit a half mile to Casa Molina, a Great Mexican food place that has been in business since the 30's.

Tucson traffic is a nightmare.  They should have build a beltway 10 years ago but the city decided that by not building a freeway they would not have to deal with growth.  Now they have all the growth but no freeway except for I-10/I-19.

If you get off of the I-10 you may never find your way back.

I have said for many many years that Tucson's policy on growth has been "(eyes closed, fingers in ears) LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA .... I CAN"T HEAR YOU!!!!!!!    ... did they go away yet?"

I sort of support the go home crowd.  I loved AZ in the 70's and 80's  the 1870's and 80's.

When I left tucson in 1992, you could whip around anywhere in town quickly, now when I go it is so congested everywhere..  there were times during the day there was hardley any traffic out there and you could pull up to a stop light and get right through it...

Compared to Los Angeles, Phoenix, New York, San Diego, Seoul, Tokyo–– basically any major city..............Tucson traffic isn't shit.  Only the locals and small town folks bitch about it.

We are still full....
