Ben Avery was realy packed at 9am on saterday, I had a half hour wait to get on . the econemy shure ain't slowing them down . maybe it was the nice weather ?

| You know we always have ARFCOM shoots up here in Prescott, but I'd love to do some kind of get together at Ben Avery so we could utilize the long distance ranges and the handgun ranges. RSOs are a pain the ass sometimes, but I'm open for doing it some morning in the middle of the week if some guys wanna join me. I've been meaning to get over there and do some shooting, and it's only an hour drive south for me. |

Just double checking because I haven't been to BA in over a year, but how do they feel about shotguns anyways? Just went yesturday and got scolded for shooting bird shot. The kicker was, I was doing a function test and did'nt even have a target frame up. I was told slugs or 00 buck, no birdshot. I told the RO that I was not going to waste slugs on a function test and put it away. |

good to know about the birdshot. I'd like to know why they think OO buck or slug would be safer then bird when birdshot barely kills most small game as it is. I am not sure about their thinking on the birdshot, may be they think it will richochet more. You may want to call and see what they say. |

Walked up the steepest side, get to the top and see a 30x easier route up
