Where and when? I've heard of it but never been, sounds like fun.... IT IS AWESOME! Some day I'll edit the video I got while I was there a couple years ago and share it with ARFCOM. There's nothing like watching a full night of full-auto tracers slamming into a hillside while barrels of explosives go off. |
| I'll be there in spots 32-33. Always a great time. This shoot should be HUGE as it's the 5th Anniversary... Lots of great pyro's for each night shoot. The local 4H club cooks up great food as well so you don't go hungry. There is also a raffle that half the proceeds go to the local Wikieup school as well. |

FBarms - We got 14-15 (they keep moving me to the left - so I can't hit as many planes). Have a new mount and Tripod this year, should help in the shooting accuracy category. See u up there on Thurs or Friday. |

... shooter passes are $200 ... WTF? That sounds a little steep just to go plinking for the day. Oh well, I can save some money on buying camp lounge chairs Have you ever been, Winston? $200 bucks for most of these guys ain't no thing - just the toys they bring make $200 look like 25 cents. You gonna go for sure? I'm thinking of going the 17th, on Saturday. I'll just be finishing up a canoe trip on the Colorado, and I think I can make it on Saturday. |

I need to pick up my camp lounge chair from you before the shoot! Otherwise, I'll have nothing to sit on... I know I've mentioned it before, but although the shooter fee seems steep, the folks who put on the shoot spent a ton of money to purchase the range and they actually got it approved and protected under the AZ range protection act. Also, the insurance for an event like this is very expensive. Lastly, the "reactives", RC airplanes and range improvements are very costly as well. Heck, just renting a D9 for a few days to improve/fix the roads and firing line costs thousands of dollars. If they don't make any money the whole thing goes away and that would be a shame. Plus, it's a really great time to check out some of the coolest machine guns and artillery ever made, hang out and talk to like minded folks, etc. |

Ammo cost being my main concern going to the shoot this year. If I show up, I'll being packing light.
That being said, I'll most likely put up for the late shooter fee for the Saturday and Saturday night shoot and bail early Sunday morning. Chances are, I will be on the West Side. Btw, my HK91 and M1a get a severe workout at this shoot. The SMLE also has some miles on it here. edit : Saturday night should be fun. |
