Might as well,   Dims have their 60 votes already so the RINOs cannot say we cannot risk running a newbie because we need his vote to stop anything.......he is likely their 61st vote anyway.

Wasn't Simcox running?

I sure as hell don't want another party ideologist running, we need someone who has read the US Constitution, and has no problem working within it's rules.

I am sick of the POS politicians who get elected by us, then bow to the corporate entities and kiss their asses to stay in office.

Maybe Sarah will move to AZ.

McCain has lost his will to fight, and we need new blood. Someone who is willing to walk-the-walk and defend this country from the forces from within. I actually believe McCain sold us out.

Jim Deakin looks like a very good candidate.

I don't believe Mr. Simcox has a chance due to his affiliation with the Minuteman.

I didn't vote for McCain at his last re-election run knowing full well that he'd win with or without my vote.  That made it somewhat easy.  Would I do it again knowing that it might put a democrat in his senate seat?  That's a lot tougher.

Also, take a look at the last few Republican candidates for governor.  They sucked.  We had no one of any real stature who was willing to run against Napalitano, so we basically just conceded the governors chair to her.  Can you honestly say we'd do any better if we replaced McCain on the Republican ticket?  Or would we just be conceding his seat to some democrat carpetbagger like Harry Mitchell?

Cause I can guaran-damn-tee you one thing, if we replace McCain on the Republican ticket the Dems will pour millions into getting that senate seat.  If we replace him with someone of no stature we're guaranteeing a loss to the dems.

Though I've lost faith in McCain, no way would I put his seat up-for-grabs to the Dems. His replacement would have to be a top caliber candidate. Without that, he still gets my vote.

This is probably why so few have responded to this thread. It's a real dilemma when you consider any replacement for him. IMO.

I supported McCain for years, including working in his campaigns and donating to it.  But when he stopped defending gun owners and got on the "close the gun show loophole" bus, I started losing my zest for his campaign.  When he cozied up with Clinton and Kennedy on the Global Warming Scam Train that zest took a mortal wound.  And when he came out and said that no American could stand out in the hot sun and pick lettuce, it put it in a coffin, lowered it in the ground and tossed dirt on it.

While I won't take any chances of putting a dem in his seat, my support for McCain is dead.  And though I voted for him as POTUS, his saying he wouldn't support Palin in 2012 makes me want to puke.

McCain is a RINO to the extreme, and I don't know why he just doesn't join the friggin' Dem party these days, he's almost in lockstep with them on all issues except abortion.     I'm a veteran, and while I can appreciate his service, it doesn't mean it was good service, and for those of you not in the know, he crashed 4 friggin' jets before he even got to "Nam".     He was the son of a Commodore, and that in itself was a golden ticket for him in the Navy, and I have no sympathy for his injuries or time in captivity.      JUAN McCain is a shitbag, bottom line, and his positions on the way our nation is run is contrary to what the state of AZ would like to see.       I won't have any part in his attempt at being re-elected, and I only hope he has someone of very strong will to not be corrupted running against him.

I've met Deakin a couple of times, and while he reads good on paper, and speaks OK on the issues, I get a weird vibe from him in person that says "corruption", and I don't know why.

Have a great gun carryin' Kenpo day

Arizona is already purple and fast turning blue.

It already has a majority-Democrat Congressional representation in the House.

You can be DAMN sure they'd throw a big-name Dem after McCain's seat.

Yes time to replace McSame with someone different, the republican in name only is a disgrace to the party.    Also since J. Brewer is proposing a tax increase while increasing funding to education, lets replace her too.

I got a call from his org last week, asking for money.

I told them he's a disappointment and he would get no more from me.

Caller said something to the effect that if I didn't, then a dem would get in, so I told her I'm just donating to whoever his primary opponent is.

I'd like to see Salmon run.
