The restrictions are for target shooting. You may still hunt using a firearm during restrictions. The logic is that you won't be firing hundreds of rounds while hunting.

Ha! me too. I'm going up to Seligman this week with my Dad who is flying in tomorrow from Ohio. Hope to hunt a bunch of  p-dogs.

It has always opened on Fathers day in the past ans now it says July 1st.

Yeah, you gotta remember that the 2009-10 seasons don't actually start until July 1st, so you have to look at the 2008-09 regs for Jan-Jun.  It's sometimes awful confusing trying to figure out seasons...

I went up on the 16th. Lots of shooters at Seligman and very cloudy. I managed to heat the barrel up as did my 3 (30 yr old) shooting protégés. My 20 Tactical AR kicked butt!!

Damn! I was at Scout Camp during opening week for p-dogs! Well, good thing I have a few, um, "secret" spots.
