Anyone know what the Arizona law is regarding driving to the range and back in a vehicle? Can the ammo be in the car interior next to the weapon? Do the mags need to be emptied before transport even if they are in a separate bag?
Thanks for your help. |
You must be new to Arizona, handguns can be loaded carried on ones person or in a vehicle in plain view. You can carry your long guns cased or uncased in a vehicle as long as they are in plain view or concealed in the trunk out of reach of the driver. Any firearm concealed in reach of the driver in a vehicle requires a CCW permit. See ARS 13-3102 and 13-3112 for more information.

Before we open this whole can of worms on the glove box again causing me to get more grey hairs look at this thread. I was very clear in here about what is and isn't allowed. When you read the law as the Legislature intends it be read each time you see pursuant to your supposed to add the information in that law they go back and finish reading the first law where pursuant to ended. Its very confusing and can in fact get people who are unsuspecting on the wrong side of the law.
