Finally getting back to Tucson, after 12+ years.

Which company has the cheapest/best deal on home phone service? I need phone and high speed net, not cable.

I purchased a place on the east side (22nd/Pantano). There is a Fry's nearby, but........is there a discount grocery anywhere nearby?

Any other helpful hints will be appreciated.

Welcome Back!    I live in Three Points so I do not know of any discount grocery stores in that area. There is a Sunflower grocery store that has decent prices on fruits and vegatables. As to phone and interenet some one else would know better . I have to use Satellite out here for both.

My son lives a few blocks from you in an apartment complex on Stella.  There is a nice Safeway, (get the Safeway card and get a discount on their gas stations) There is a Cosco not far from you also.  My son got Cox high speed cable for the net and for T V but stays with a cell phone.

Thanks THREEFEATHERS,
I will probably go w/ cox because of cost although I HATE their crappy customer service.

The only Costco I know of in town is the one on grant by Tanque Verde.

I'm currently in the P.R.K. and "quick" shop at Safeway ( 2 min walk) now, but can easily find cheaper groceries at FoodMax, it's a little bit of a drive but when I do major shopping I easily make up the gas cost+.

How about a cell provider?

anybody else?

Verizon or Cingular/AT&T both had good reception for me all over Tucson.

There is another Costco on the NW side of town.

Frys will give you ten cents a gallon off for every $100 you spend in the store on qualified items.  Be sure to use your frys discount card.  They seem to be the best on prices in general, but if you get the newspaper and the grocery adverts you can pick the price leaders out of each store.  I got gas for $3.34 today.

The sunflower market is on Pantano/Broadway by the Home Depot.  I really haven't found too much in there that is cheaper than Frys.

FYI the Target on Harrison/22nd now has a liquor license.

There is a gunstore at Broadway and Camino Seco you will need to check out.

I use Qwest for phone and DSL.  Where I live I only get the 1.2MBps due to crappy infrastructure.  Service has been 100% reliable for 5 years.
