| Yesterday I went in to check out the new Bass Pro in Tempe. I was mainly looking for reloading supplies. They are real proud of their merchandise. For a FL RCBS 2 die set in .223 they wanted $40! Midway is $25. 1000 CCI SRM primers they wanted $35 for. Pistol Parlor gets $24. Nice place with a nice atmosphere but I don't think I'll be doing much shopping there. |
This is true. That drive to Glendale is a cast iron pain in the a** |
dont ever talk bad about cast iron again! |
I was lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it) and I found an unopened box of 1000 (but only 1). The individual packs of 100 were hanging on peg hooks. I asked the sales guy how much for this box of 1000? He said, "We don't sell them that way, we sell them by the sleeve of 100, so the price is 10 times 3.49 or $34.90. Even though I needed primers, I walked away from that "deal". |
He knows where it is. He is being a smart ass since it is actually in Mesa, like you said. |

The other day I heard that Bass Pro is anti-EBR. They have a policy against selling semi automatic rifles that they consider not Fudd enough. I could be wrong, I heard this second hand. But if it's true, fuck'em. Shops that don't get the 2A, don't get my money. |
also heard over the counter there that they dont/wont sell anything with a barrel less than 3" long. |

. I guess stuffed animals cost big $$$.
