Just moved to Phoenix from the Detroit area. I live in southern Phoenix and I am looking for a good local gun store. I did a search online and came up with a bunch of pawn shops/gun stores. Figured with out wasting my time and gas money going to them all I would just ask on here. I would also like to look into one that offers the CCW class. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

Being that I was born and raised in the Detroit area (but i've been here for 20 something years)---I feel obligated to help you out. Pistol Parlour in Mesa and Bear Arms in Scottsdale are good stores for an assortment of new and used at decent prices, they're a couple of my favorites--there is a good store on Cave Creek, can't remember the name, that has a good assortment and good prices, but the dude is weird and has funky pricing crap---like take this much off these with green tags, and this much  discount for yellow tags, this much if you don't pay with cash, etc.

These are the ones that pop into my head right now, i'm in Tucson--but do lots of trips to Phx.

The Phx. crowd will definately chime in with other shops that are good.

If your looking for a handgun, Phoenix gun center. Best prices I've come across lately and a lot of good stuff to chose from.

Thanks a lot for all the help, and when I say the Detroit area I am talking South East Michigan. Actually Oakland County and a city called Lake Orion...its 45 mins north of Detroit… And markm, I didn’t mean to piss in your Cheerios bye moving here but if I did then so be it. I think you would appreciate my hard working tax paying self, compared to another illegal that is going to steal your car.

As far as if I am in the market for a hand gun or another riffle…Not really either at the moment. I just like to know where a good place is to check out so I am well prepared when I want to pick up another 1911, AR15, or whatever my pick of poison might be @ the time.

I would actually like to check into some fully auto options. Michigan just opened up to NFA weapons right before I moved so I really didn’t get a chance to get my hands on any before I left. However a good friend of mine jumped on it soon as it opened and picked up a HK51. I got a chance to fire that and fell in love

Only two rules for moving to Arizona:
Rule #1: Join the NRA, or GOA
Rule #2: Don't vote for any candidate that is not endorsed by either NRA or GOA
Nuff said.

And forget about how you did things/ how things worked/ what was better about where you came from. Arizona isn't perfect but it sure beats the Hell out of the other 48 (less Kentucky, of course!!).
