Need to get my parents brakes worked on since they are hardly working at all and wondered where have you guys gone and been satisfied. Twice I have used Just Brakes and they did good work but for more then $800, but maybe that’s what its gonna cost. I live near 83rd ave and Olive but would be willing to travel some to get a good deal/better service |

I was gonna suggest the same thing. Assuming all you have to do is change pads and turn/replace rotors, most vehicals are pretty straight forward. If the brakes need bled, it gets a little more involved but still do-able for a first timer (with some help). I've never done drum brakes though. What's the car? You say the brakes are hardly working? That can't be good. |
Its a 1999 Suzuki Esteem. The brakes have been squeaking for some time but they never got around to fixing it and now when you try and stop you can feel some horrible grinding and it takes forever to actually stop. When idling it almost starts creeping ![]() Want to get it done asap and would rather have someone who knows what they are doing fix it rather then kill my parents

sounds like your pads and your rotors are toast, maybe even the calipers but they might be ok. if only the fronts are bad then that is about a 2 hour job including beer breaks. for new calipers, rotors, and pads for the front, you're looking at about $150 in parts from autozone, if you dont need calipers, knock $82 off of that. its an easy job. |
| Its probably the rotors getting gouged... that happened on my jeep (oops) costs less than $100 to replace both fron rotors and pads. If someone who knows what they are doing can help you out, you'll be done in no time. (My dad showed me how to take everything apart, and I finished it from there) |
Not sure what "willing to travel" translates to, but I use a guy near 19th Ave. & Bell that is really fantastic. Metro Tune & Lube, 602-993-3934, ask for Dan Morrison. Very honest, straight-up guy. Once brought my Jeep to him, he had it for a while, couldn't find anything wrong with it, didn't charge me a dime. Only problem is, he's always swamped. |
