Sedona *is* a hassle anyhow. It's an overcrouded tourist trap. That being said, it's a georgous area. Some of the nicest mountians in AZ are there. Be sure to check out the Indian runins and paintings. They're off the beaten path a bit, but worth it if you like that stuff. Be careful when you drive there, it's a rough rock road. Don't know about the gun rights though...when we visited, we flew, therefore no guns. Now, we live here, and we've not been back yet. Erik Johnson |

If you go, go to Oak Creek Brewery. They have some very good beers and the people were really nice. The owner sat with us and we sampled all of their beers. We chatted for about 45 mins or so. I would go back. It is certainly a tourist trap but the key is to find off the beaten path stuff as stated above. |
They have OUTSTANDING beer Love the area, but from my observations of the locals, it has that pot-smoking new-age hippy feel. I must not have been in the groove. Stood in a "vortex" and didnt feel a damn thing. |

I haven't seen too many signs when I've been up there, if that's what you are talking about. Open carry might scare the tourists, and maybe upset some of the liberal hippie types, but for the most part it's just fine. If you're CCW you shouldn't have any problems -- just remember our stupid no-guns in anyplace that serves alcohol for on-sight consumption. One of these days we'll get that law changed. |
