I saw him on Conan last night. Actually stayed up for it because he is Robert Plant, singer from Led Zeppelin and thusly God of ROCK! I couldn't stand to watch him any more after he started hippie dancing. I was quite disappointed. Flipping the channel was necessary to purge my mind of the image of Robert Plant hippie dancing.

Sorry guys, I got this off of active topics but had to comment.

The Zep man.

How much of Zepplan does he do in a show?

Only way I would see him is if Page was standing next to him on stage.

You gotta love the Zep, but.....

Plant is very gay.   I'm not sure if he actually sucks the dick, but he is one of the most effeminate faggoty ass bitches around.

Very gay, but it could be a good show, who knows?

If you are at all a Led Zeppelin fan, do yourself a favor and don't go see the show.

He can't sing very well anymore and doesn't come across like the rock and roll god that was his image with Led Zeppelin.

I agree.  I went to see the Plant/Page show a few years ago and was totally underwhelmed.

I google searched and found some reviews of his 2005 Tour. All reviews sounded good. With Zep songs Black Dog, Morning Dew and closing with Whole Lota Love. I never had the chance to see him before and I figured this might be his last tour. So I'm going.

Shit, I saw him in concert twice.  One time was at Wells Fargo Arena (it was the ASU Activity Center back then I think) when White Lion (talk about fags!) opened for him and another time at the Coliseum when Alonna Myles opened for him.  Granted, that was the late 80s and early 90s, but he kicked ass!  And Doug Boyle (while certainly no Jimmy Page) is no slouch in the guitar playing department either.

I hope he isn't queer.  That would bother me, much in the same way that it did when I found out Freddie Mercury and Rob Halford were pillow biters.

Oh yeah, and also when I found out Melissa Etheridge was a rug muncher.

I saw Page/Plant back in the 90's. They played with the Boston Orchestra and were awesome. I'm not sure how good he'd be without Page though.

If its a tour for his new album then save your money.  Just bought it and it sucks.  Went to both Page and Plant concerts and they rocked (also seen them twice back in the L.Z. days). Thought that Plant's new album would be good but didn't even let it finish before I ejected it.  Too soft.  Thats just my opinion, though.

I'm sure you will have a Awesome time.  Don't let ARFCOM  get you down.

Please give a report and let us know how it went.  I need to find Led Zeppelin IIII and put it in.

I have to say as a guitar player that I liked them alot back in the day. I thought Page was a Guitar God. But after playing music for over forty-five years I looked back now and wonder what I thought was so great about him. The studio stuff was good but the live stuff just flat out sucks. Unless you're as stoned as they are when you go see them you can really hear the drugs. Sloppy playing, singing out of tune. Their last album "How the West Was Won" was a joke IMHO. They played the shit out of it in Portland when it came out. The DJ's were all falling all over their mics saying how great it was. I believe it was all live material. If you listened to the songs side by side from the studio albums and the live albums you'll see what I mean. As they have gotten older they really haven't progressed musically either. Same old tired licks no real new material. Well Plant does have his own stuff but I was never really impressed with it. Most of it sounded like music to do acid by. And once again your views may very. Just my two cents. If you still like them by all means go see them.

Bang I have a friend that plays drums in a band. They have a gig at a place this next weekend. I'm going and if you want to see him play. Let me know. He's a master/awsome drummer. His leg calfs are about the size of a basket ball.
