Since we Zonies have displayed our affinity (much to BK1 and Aimless's displeasure )for all things Maglite related, I thought I would share this Dane's unique use for them.

So, what sound does a MagLight suppressor make?
I bet it still starts with a "T".

Speaking of Form-1's....it seems that more then one "Emerson" BATF Form-1 have been approved... Now the trick is that you would have to make the reciever entirly on your own (ie. 80% or less kits)...

Now...the CAV-15 comes out of the mold in 2 halves that can not be put together with out a linerar vibration welder...so the 2 halves are less then 50% complete as they sit. I can also mold them completly blank (just a blank metal tag and no engraving above it). A person could buy 2 of these halves from Cav Arms..have them laser engraved with the propper stuff...and submit their form-1 to ATF. Total investment at this point..$200 tax (refundable if not approved) and $50 for 2 engraved pieces of plastic. Upon approval, a person could come down to Cav Arms and "Rent" some time on our linerar Vibration Welder (Ask Winston Wolf how easy it is to use) and finish their FA lower... We could take this a step further and have you pull your 2 halves out of the molding press so it is 100% from start to finish your work and we could burn a DVD of the whole process for legal record...

Shit...for the right price, I could put the welder on our 18' trailer with the buck-booster and transformer and make this a traveling rig that would only need a 220volt receptical (dryer plug)...

if only the SCOTUS would get off their geriatric asses and uphold the stewart case.......
Unless I'm horribly mistaken, building your own can after getting a form 1 and plans approved is still
ok right?

ETA: just for fun, you need to put the welder in an ice cream truck and you can be the "build your own machinegun" man!

I saw it...very funny...hee hee!

And it's not "Emerson" Emerson was upheld as a "reasonable limit" on our "individual right" WTF-ever.

Losing Civil Rights over a goddam Order of Protection just pisses my world off to no end.

the case is "Stewart"...say it with me kids....STEWART.

One could do this for non Form 1 guns, too...since finishing 80% or less receivers requires no approval or anything. right?

I actually like this better.  There is little doubt in my mind that Congress will eventually make a law to come after 'homemade' Full-autos, but I think 80%'s are safe for the forseeable future.

I'd do this.  I think it would be fun to 'make my own' rifle.

I'll make it real simple guys. The Arizona forum is not your little playground that is above the code of conduct for AR15.com. You don't get special treatment. Your're no different then any other members here.
I'm staff here..I deal with anything that needs to be dealt with on the site. If one of the mods or 1Gunrunner had noticed this first then they would have looked after it.
It was pointed out to me however and here I am, and if I'll stop by anytime something needs to be addressed if no one else is around.

Geez guys.. enough with the us vs. them mentality. We've had our fun, we most definately got our point across but it's starting to get old. (This from a guy who's seen The Holy Grail 500+ times)

The original topic of this thread was cool, the fact that it brought up "the tonks of yester-year" was an amusing coincidence but it's starting to sound like a grudge match, and that's not what I come here for. I've got a troll account on DU for that.
