"Crossroads Of The West" Gun Show in Phoenix. February 26th & 27th, 2005.

  Get your Coupon Here.

I know, I know, they can be boring or the same old shit. To much beef jerky and so on.

We'll I advise you to support them. If not, someday they will be a thing of the past. At least stock up on some ammo and visit with some fellow AZARFCOMER's. You might even be able to sell something you don't use. For money, for a new project.

Also bring your kids, dress them in BDU's, buy them an Air soft toy. The shows may not be around, when they get old enough to ejnoy them.

 Also if you don't have much money. J & G has advertised 8mm Mauser rifles $64.95, CZ52 pistol 7.62X25 $89.95, SKS rifles $99.95.

So get off your fat ass and go.

PS. I'll be there Saturday morning.

And for you local dealers. Let us know if your setting up there and where.

(long sigh)  Teaching...  On the other hand, making money is better than spending it.

The Tucson show was okay.  Did a little bit of horse trading but overall I would have been better off not fighting the traffic on the I-10.  ACK!

I'll be there both days, have a table so I can sell some stuff that was laying around the house, mostly brass, a rifle or 2, and a bunch of other stuff...

Edit: these are the 2 rifles I'll have at the show this weekend... Rifles

I was there on Sunday.  Not much.  Got to look at an S&W Commander-style pistol in that scandium stuff.  Kind of liked and almost did an impulse buy but I can't get happy with those full-length guide rods.  Ammo at Miwall.  That was about it.  Oh yeah, Roadrunner Safes was there, local Tucson Liberty Safe dealer, they're too much!

Did some horse trading and picked up a Ruger Blackhawk stainless .357 that needs to be sent back to Ruger for work.  (Possibly broken transfer bar.)

Other than the broken part, pretty nice and a decent price.

Practical tactical is no longer selling at gunshows...just not profitable.

However, I plan to be there at least on Saturday and can bring a reasonable amount of stuff for "delivery".  I won't have any way to take payments, so that would have to be arranged beforehand, or be cash, exact change only.

Ha ha, another Ruger!  Will they reapair that fer free?  I wouIdn't be surprised.  I was reading all this (good natured?) ribbing about Rugers and started counting.  Somehow, there're 3 of em in my safe!  One of my very favorite revolvers is a 4 inch stainless Security Six.  Got a Redhawk that I sent back to Magnaport for an action job and porting.  It's a pretty comfy shooter and accurate.  I've been thinking about getting a 4.5 inch Bisley with the birdseye grips, 45LC, of course.  They're just cool.

Ok, let the flaming begin.  I'm a failure in the Ruger Haters Club, snif!

I called in and they told me to ship it out "and don't worry about payment."  My guess is that they'll probably fix whatever's ailing it for free- any time you deal with a handgun that has a safety/trigger system that's gone funky the liability worries begin.  It'll probably run me $12.00 to ship off and might take a few weeks, but oh well.  Perhaps I can finagle a free cleaning- the previous owner was one of those "since it's stainless that means you don't need to clean it" types.

I never understood the hate for Ruger PRODUCTS (but the hate for Ruger POLITICS makes perfect sense).  Yeah, their guns aren't sexy-- but they are generally pretty hard to kill and they do the job.  I was actually hoping to dig up a stainless Super Blackhawk in .44mag, but I got this regular stainless Blackhawk in .357mag that I was content.  I also know I'll be able to turn it for a good profit once it comes back from the factory.

...or I might well add it to the collection as my first single action.

They go "bang" and they're inexpensive.  Those autos look kind of clunky to me but I have a cousin that loves his .45, I think it's a P89  (?)

I find it acceptable to own a Ruger as long as it's not a centerfire autoloading pistol or a Mini 14/30.

Now the SASS guys might give you hell for the transfer bar.

nah, just looking for more bells and whistles to put on them

innocent bystander, in all fairness to ruger, I used to own a P90 a few years back and my dad has owned his Mini-14 since before I was born, neither gun has malfunctioned. However, due to them trying to take away my God given right to hi-caps I do not plan to purchase another

My partner that I'm sharing the table with was thinking of selling a few cases of the stuff...

Update: I just got done talking to my partner and he will have 7 cases available for sale at the show. He told me $90 a case out the door, or individual bottles for $6ea.. These are fresh cases he just received in the last month.

I got all set up Friday and from what I could see there is going to be the big building to the east, the tent, the pea green building to the west and the white building right behind the green one. I have 7 cases of tannerite there at the show; $90 for one case, 2 or more $85 ea, and single bottles for $6 ea. I also have 3 Glocks, (2) 45LC and (1) 44mag revo's, couple of rifle's and a shotgun. My table is just slightly northwest of Bear arms, I think Coronado Leather is my neighbor to the South of me. Ill have  on a black Gemtech t-shirt stop by and say hi...

I went today and only came back with two of 12 items I wanted to buy.

Romanian wire folding stocks were $80 at the show, passed.
Wanted to buy a M44, Yugo Mauser, Lee Enfield, and RC mauser at J&G booth but wasnt willing to wait 45 minutes behind everyone else to get them.
Seemed like a lot of booths, but this is only my third show so I really dont know anything.
I bought 1000 rounds of Wolf 7.62x30 for $79 and some Bulgarian 7.62x39 mags for $10 each, nothing special.

One of the main reasons I went to the show was to purchase some stuff from J&G, was bummed out by the amount of buysiness they had and so few people working the show, oh well.

J&G pisses me off when they let people cut to the front of the line ahead of people who have waited for a 1/2 hour.

It was coool!
I wore my MARPAT BDUs, Ranger shirt and gold plated Trident pin.
Talked to Ken Elmore for hours, and really impressed him with all my war stories, especialy the super double secret missions!
Not really.
It was allright, got a good deal on AR mags, and ended up buying a XD 40 sub compact.
But this is probably my last, nothing I can't order over the internut or find at a local gun store without the unwashed in attendance.

Well, my friend found a Pre-Warning 10/22 with walnut stock for $150, I got a 10/22 25 round butlercreek steel lip mag but was $29 bucks and several of the dealers sold out all they had by noon saturday

Today went back with my wife for bobbles and got custom hearing protection plugs (this should go nice with the electronic muffs!)

Was trying to find a good buy on Stainless Mark 2 bull barrel but either price was outragous or the dealer only had blue ones.

Most of the prices were a little steep.  And yes you can do better off the internet for lots of the new stuff.

Anyone see the gang members all together under the tent buying body armor from one vendor and then going to the private party guys and buying HK's and Sigs? They had the balls to all put their vests on and stand right in front of the Sheriff near the entrance for a while too. Load the shotguns with slugs guys.
