Actually, its not boring. Shooting styles have changed quite a bit since 1964... as have weapons. They've changed quite a bit since 1982 when I went through basic... and then in 1984 when I went through Airborne Leaders Course while with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg. I really think you would have a great time CJ/AR15Nutt... see we are trying to play nice with you... invite you... Don't be a dick Dicky... Y- |

Sorry, wasn't paying attention. I'll be there, if it makes up enough folks. Cy Kind of wish it was last month. Did a little house clearing last night. I got to realize just how un-prepared I was. :( ETA: I thought I edited this! Anyway, it's obvious I don't read too carefully. I'm sched for the Tucson session the weekend before. Doh! |
Am I missing and interesting story? |
Sorry, on another planet, as usual. Nothing too exciting. I was washing my truck, Sunday evening, about 19:15. Almost totally dark when i look up out of condition white-minus and see this fellow halfway up the drive. He looks ok and his GF/Wife in his car looks a little concerned but cool. Whew! i guess i'll live at this point. The guy says that he saw someone "lurking" at the side of the house next door and decided to loop back around for another look. This time the possible "_onk" ducked down so the guy pulled over to me. He asked if I thought he should call 911. That house has a little history so I said, "Yes/Thanks!" He went back to his car and pulled off as I locked the truck and zipped back into the house. I had realized that my Wife was already in bed, she's an HS teacher and gets up early, and that I had been running around all day with all the back doors open. Check the doors clear the place with the surefire and .45 Look out front . . . TPD car next door check the doors again look out front . . . Two cars . . . both officers bolt to their cars and roar off somewhere else FAST fall asleep on the couch, etc. probably nothing, but I had also remembered seeing the neighbors SUV-thingy with suitcases and clothes hanging in the back. They must have taken off somewhere so I decided a serious reaction was reasonable. Havent thought about clearing a house in a looong time. Didn't feel too comfortable about it. Sorry for the late reply, Cy ETA: HS Techer in the house. Yeah, and she's not doing her job! Oh well. She doesn't teach spelling anyway. |

Well, I looked at the schedule last week and decided that I'd better pull out of the April 9&10 Pistol Class in Tucson. I was really looking forward to it but it turns out that retreat is the better part of valor, as they say. I'll leave on a week of vacation the week after and just ended up too far behind schedule. Something had to give. I'll miss training with everybody and will try to fit the class into the month of October when I plan on taking the Tac Carbine classes. |

Glad you enjoyed the Tactical Pistol class... it was an honor to work it with you guys... You guys did great! I am looking forward to the Tac Shotgun class tomorrow. Its going to be new for me and I am looking forward to learning with those who will be there with us. GO I hope you can make it. Snowed in at Denver in April? That sucks... I was snowed in there in 2003 coming back from Germany for 4 days... If you are downtown I can recommend a good Irish bar :) Y- |
