Those Yugo SKS's seem to be eveywhere. What part of town are you in?

Try Bear Arms in Scottsdale. If I recall they have them for less than $200.

At Shooting Star in Tempe just north of Guadalupe on Kyrene had some Yugo ones for $169

Murphy's in Tucson has them for a couple hundred I believe. My cousin bought one years ago and we went in and looked and I was shocked at how cheap they were. That's one hell of a fun gun to shoot BTW.

Watch out for Shooting star - it looks like they've been swapping parts in them, and I'm not sure those guys have a clue what 922(r) is...  I buy ammo there, but I'd be wary of their SKS's.

If you don't want to drive up to prescott (which is worth it, IMHO) you can keep your eye on Big 5 sporting goods, they put them on sale from time to time...

Scottsdale Gun Center (NOT Gun Club) has them from time to time...

At least they weren't offering the "M16 Converted to AR15" deal that Winston Wolf and I saw at the fun show...  Putting JB-weld in the autosear hole.....

Let me know what you find. I might talk the wife into buying me one for christmas in which case in might make sense for us to carpool up to prescot.

Naw, this one was too much of a bumpkin to be ATF-- I honestly think he was just a moron.

the guys at shooting star have always been really nice.  My friend and myself hang out there a lot and just shoot the shit.  I bought one rifle from them and they have done a transfer for me.  I also buy ammo there.  I did see that they were converting there sks to allow detachable mags but other then that I wouldnt know.  Some of there stuff is overpriced but some is decent.  I would probably go to Bear arms to get an sks.

I've bullshited with one of the guys at Shooting Star a few times, also at the gun show. These SKS's were standard Yugo models, nothing added or modified. They were $169 last time I was there. They seem pretty cool.
