Does anyone know who the CLEO is for Maricopa County and if he will sign off on C3's? If so what does a CLEO look for in making that decision? Thanks for the help ! |

That would be Sherrif Joe. No problem getting a sign off for NFA. Only thing is, you have to take it down in person and pick up in person and they are saying UP TO 60 days for the turn around, I did 2 forms back in Nov that took 3 weeks to the day. I guess it all depends on when you get them in and when they do the run. The address is: Civil Division (Lt. Jones office) 102 W. Madison St. Phx, Az 85003 (602) 256-1840 (you enter on Jefferson St.) |

More bad news: when I was picking up a couple of toys at The Armory I was told the wait is closer to four months. Luckily I still have a signed form four on file at the Armory with a couple of months left before it expires. Now I just need to decide what to get next. THISISME |

I’m sure some will let me know if I’m wrong but if you live in Maricopa County you need to either get a CLEO from county sheriff’s office. I don’t know what their legal standpoint is here in the state but my Class three dealer did not even consider the option of sending me to my cities chief LOE for a CLEO. THISISME |

is the check they do the same as it is for a CCW permit? or is it more intensive, and are they more selective? I have been arrested a few times in my youth, but nothing that had me fail NICS, and i was OK'd for Top Secret clearance and PRP for Nuke related duty in the Army, and i was also cleared to get my CCW. |

EX - If you've got an interesting history, then disclose it to MCSO in their little form, you CAN write on the back. If you let them know everything in your past on the form, and there are no suprises, then you're good to go, usually. Just be honest. If you can pass a 4473, you can get a sign-off in MC. -lm |
