I am moving to Anderson next week and am in need of some advice. Are there any good ranges around me(pistol,ar15,shotgun)? Any fun stores I need to stay away from? I also need a good Harley shop for service. And last but not least, a good speed shop. I have researched the area with limited results. I would rather have word of mouth recommendations anyhow. I really don't want to take my camaro or bike to a dealer. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
For an indoor range I hear Point Blank is pretty good. Out door range you can't beat Miami Rifle and Pistol Club go online and register there is a waiting list. You don't have to be a member to shoot the matches. Go shoot some matches make friends and they will invite you to shoot as a guest that will get you shooting until you become a member.

Gun shops I avoid Target World

I took my Trans Am to Cincy Speed Warehouse and I had good luck with them.  They have a dyno and they do tuning.  Definitely not in the Anderson area but they are one of the few speed shops in the city.   They have a facebook page you can view from google.

Are you looking for a shop that specializes in a particular type of vehicle? Proxses Tuning in Centerville, Ohio (South Dayton suburbs) specializes in GM vehicles, modern GTOs in particular. They tuned my car; they did good work and offer competitive prices.

I am in Anderson.  We are lucky as the Readyline range in Newtown (off Round Bottom rd) just opened before christmas.  It is one of the best indoor range in Cincy. (25yd pistol and 100 yd rifle indoor range).  I think they are opened to 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends.

Miami Rifle and Pistol is the one of the best (and best value) outdoor club but the wait list is long so you should try to get on it asap.  Let me know if you want to go and I can take you as a guest.  My buddies and I try to go their once a month when the weather is better.

End of April Milford Steak and Shake cruise in will start. Probably the best cruise in in south western Ohio.
Lots of like minded car and motorcycle people. I've seen up to 700 cars on a nice Friday evening.

New indoor range in the Anderson Township area... Ready Line     It's a well thought out range with lanes up to 100 yards and you can shoot up to 50 caliber.

And their gun prices are fairly reasonable!

Stay AWAY  from Target World!

As others have mentioned, Readyline would be the best option. There is also Point Blank in Blue Ash (and on the "West Side" of Cincy) Avoid Target World.

I'm not into bikes, but there is a Harley dealer off the Norwood Lateral.

Cincy Speed is good if you are just looking for motor work. More into full customization, my buddy owns Spade Made. They do great work.

once it warms up, we should have an arfcom get together there. We probably have enough club members to make that happen (im a mrpc member also)

Target world just remodeled, kind of, but like others have mentioned its pretty much crap. Point Blank in blue ash is a nice clean friendly and safe range to shoot at. I hear ready line is nice, i just went there recently to buy a few things but never tried their range, quite a nice show room, i was quite impressed.

Thank you all for the help! I am glad to hear there is a good range close by. I have read good things about Cincy speed and proxes. I hear they both do good things with LS motors. My car was tuned at IPS in cbus but they are too far and expensive. Also I would be interested in a meet up when it thaws. It would be nice to know some good folks in the area. Thanks again. Now I have a good start on things. Any other recommendations are welcome.
