Anybody ever go to this? I've never shot or been around shooting class III's. Is it worth a 2-3 hour drive?
From videos it seems not very many people at all show up. Any experience or opinions appreciated!

I haven't been to that show, but if you have never had the opportunity to shoot a full auto, don't pass up the chance. I am lucky to have family members with machine guns, and it is a blast to pull the trigger on that stuff. If you can't make that show or don't get any reviews on it, look into the Knob Creek machine gun shoots and start saving money!!

I was there a few years ago.  A friend had a line position, there were four of us in all at that spot.  The guy in the spot to our left had a M2HB 50 going non stop the entire time.  Well, it seemed like it.  It seemed like there were a decent number of shooters.  There was ammo for sale, some food and drinks for sale, overall it was run very well.  I have few complaints about how the range was controlled, the targets we got to shoot up, or anything like that.  It could have been more interesting / more dynamic.  There was nothing like the "jungle match" at Knob Creek where you got to walk around shooting at hidden targets.  It was just shooting from a line position at a bunch of junk on the next (sand) hill.  Woo hoo.

I drove my Acura sedan and I'm sorry I did.  I didn't mind the highway driving or country roads at all.  Once you got there though you drove up road, if you could call it that, up a hill that must have been a 30 degree slope.  The hill was all sand and the road offered very little traction.  I never saw anything like it in Ohio in my entire life.  I had no idea there was so much sand in Ohio concentrated in one spot.  What the heck.  As I'm going up the hill my car was pretty unsteady but I did get up the hill without any drama.  I'm not sure I would take that car up that hill again, I was just plain lucky.  Going down was stressful too I had my foot hard on the brake the entire way down.  Next time I will leave my car parked at the bottom of the hill and walk everything up and down if I go again.  I think I had the only sedan on the top of the hill.  If you go take a four-wheel vehicle if you have one.

We are going this year, have a spot on the line booked.  Going to take our deuce down and camp in it.

Will bring most all our guns with us, so a full suite from the select fire Glocks up to the 1919 and maybe the Maxim if we can get it going in time.
