I had thsi nice exchange over the last cfew day swith my Insurance Agent, and by the response today I am glad that they have chosen to make a change for the better.
Hi Insurance Agent,
Wow.....I appreciate you taking what I wrote into consideration. I really appreciate it, as do others like me. Many thanks and best regards... We will be removing the sign this afternoon. To be honest, It’s been up so long it has just become one of those things that we just see and don’t read. I agree with your assessment on who would and wouldn’t obey the sign. Thank you for your input and attention, I truly appreciate it. He was a war veteran but never carried guns after the war. But that was a different time. I agree with you however in what that sign encourages. Criminals will do what they are going to do regardless of signs and by asking others not to bring theirs in it can leave someone defenseless. I myself am going to be getting my CCW soon, and given the recent break ins in our area, would probably want to carry the gun in myself. I will discuss this with my father and see what he says on it. Thanks for the input Geezah, I appreciate it! There was a No Firearms Allowed sign. I am not normally in the habit of doing business with organizations that discriminate towards those that are allowed by law to carry a Concealed Firearm. I have my CHL and have for years now, and as such, my fingerprints are on file with the State of Ohio along with a passport picture. I have passed a State background check, and have never been arrested, ever. Yet, I believe that what is overlooked by posting a No Firearms Sign on the front door, is that only the Law Abiding will pay attention to the sign. Criminals by nature break the law, and by posting a sign on the front door, you have done nothing more than create a Pro-Victim Zone, advertising that your establishment is somewhere criminals know they can enter without fear of anyone being able to defend themselves. Hopefully, Insurance Office B will rethink their stance on this, as you will find that those that choose to carry concealed legally, are the most law abiding citizens out there and they pose no threat what so ever. Hopefully you will take this into consideration..... Best Regards Geezah |
