I would like to plug a local service relevant to the interest of this forum, but I am not sure how to get a hold of the site owners or an appropriate moderator.

Any help would be appreciated.

Plugging something is no big deal, in my eyes there is a big difference between saying xxx is great they did this for me, and i am a representitive of xxx.

It is ok to plug a local service if you are a customer and had good service, it is not ok for the owner to advertise without approval of site staff.

What if I am neither?  It's slightly subjective.

Such as: a brand new startup business by my brother-in-law.  There is no monetary benefit for me and I haven't been a customer yet.

If I were a moderator I would probably rule towards the not ok verdict.

However, it's a small local service, something that people in parts of Ohio might be interested in.  It wouldn't really make sense to buy a banner.
