Howdy!
Looks like the job is taking me to the Chillicothe area. Didn't know if someone was in that general area. Looking to rent a house/townhouse/anything with a garage as well, if anyone knows of anything (that's always the hardest part). I was out there earlier today and it looks like a nice mid-sized town. Thanks all! Sam P.S. I look forward to being allowed to own Class 3 stuff! |

Grew up in chillicothe. Family still lives there. Plenty of places to rent, even in the country.
Closest gun range is in circleville and is about a 30-45 minute drive. Its a private club. Fair warning, traffic is a nightmare, no one knows how to drive in that town and all the lights are out of sync. |

Glad to hear about the rentals. Any chance I could ask you to put the word out? Thanks all! |

I live in Chillicothe, what type of place are you looking at? Go to www.chillicothegazette.com to check the classifieds for rentals. Made it hot |

Also, there's ONE single decent gun shop in town, Scott's Guns and & Ammo on Narrows Road. Decent guy, decent price, kind of slim on selection.
+1 on the Sumburger and Jerry's Pizza comment. You'll have to drive almost an hour to shoot at a decent range, as previously mentioned, PCSI is ~30-minutes away. I prefer to shoot in Clinton County, myself. You'll definitely enjoy the freedom in firearms ownership and CCW. |

I thought at one time they had a few ranges in Chillicothe (that would be closer than Circleville?) As others said , the gazette is likely the best place as well as craigslist. I'm a real estate agent that services chillicothe and sadly they don't have a good online system of rentals like we do in Columbus or other larger areas. If you know you're staying for more than 3-4 years you might want to look at buying , foreclosures are hitting Ross county pretty hard and you can get a property outside of town quite cheaply, with enough room for your own range. Also, for gun stores there's quite a few within a hour or so drive of Chillicothe that are decent, I don't know about any of the ones mentioned in the thread but I like Ohio Valley in Lancaster. |
