What do you expect from Web Designers living in India. If they would hire an American, they would know to transfer the information. our website was designed in Dayton, written in Dayton, the company is based in Dayton. BUT its a work in progress, we literally had to re-write the description of every item, the weight of every item, the heights, width and length of every item, the logic of what can legally ship with what, We are now redoing the email system now for mass emails. we put in a newphone system and t1 line, added phone lines, new bound book software, AND maintain our normal business during this......I am tired.........BUT we are now going to start cleaning up descriptions, adding the pics that got lost in the switch and adding linked products......and we have to add in some lines we picked up at SHOT......aimpoint stuff arrived today. |

May be true, however, do they hire Americans? Doubtful.... Many company's are in Dayton but they don't hire Daytonians. Maybe I'm wrong, I sure hope so. |

I don't know anyting about AIM or the web company you are talking about but the trend you speak of is reversing. The quality of work from overseas computer "professionals" leaves a lot to be desired and then you add in the language barriers and the risk of software piracy from these companies and more and more companies are realizing that the risks and hassles aren't worth it and the projected savings just aren't there. In addition, the economy has forced more people out of work so there is also a bigger pool of US citizens to pick from and many of these people will accept lower wages than in the past just to get the jobs, which further erodes any potential advantages of going overseas. Our company computerizes warehouses and we regularly get solicitations to hire overseas programmers. I am proud to say that our company always has and always will hire only Americans. |

I don't know if it is reversing but I do know one or two people that work at a very large south Dayton company that recently started to outsource. Needless to say that these people I know aren't very impressed with the outsourced employees working attitude (only enough work to get it done), and the quality of their work. i think it will take quite some time in order for the corporate types to realize that quality of work they had here and their employees aren't making copies of everything they do and saving it for their own companies use. Any way, I hope to visit the AIM store and drop some cash, as soon as I get another job. |

The new website, I feel is an improvement. Like everybody else here, I hate change. When I first saw the new website, I didn't like it because I had the old one memorized. Now, after a few times using it, I think the new one is more intuitive and easier to navigate. Looks like AIM has cause more positive change than Obama has! |

| I have been through the website BS before and going through it know. The only thing the website geeks know is how to build one and make it function. They don't know anything else. That's where the marketing geeks come in, man are they fun to deal with..... NOT. After all that you have to update every bit of info on the site. By the the time you get that done it's outdated again. It never stops. |
Love your sense of humor. Thanks...
