Bought 15 boxes of .223 on the way through today.

They were surprised I didn't go for 20 boxes.

I'm thinking buying 20 boxes has been really popular.

I've had a couple of experiences there that were so bad, that when they were passing out free bullets and stuff at Camp Perry, I told them to keep them.

It's not the prices there that bother me, it's just the way I've been treated as a customer on multiple occasions.  I've had some bad experiences with their archery department, and a real lousy experience with their firearms department.

I'm not a fussy customer, I don't argue about prices, and I never ask for anything special.  But the guy I dealt with at the gun counter was enough of an asshole for me to actually call the store and complain, the only time in my life I've done that.  I went there to buy a brand new Weatherby that day, and just left pissed off.  That is really the only store I can say that I've ever had an issue with.

I am dead serious when I say that I don't care what they are giving away, I don't want it.

He is right about that, If I go to buy a gun or scope I should not have to stand there for more than 5 minutes if there is a person available to help me. Except for the PMC this week all other ammo they have is outrageous. Sportsmans Den has the best deals on ammo except for maybe Vances once in a while. But for the best customer service there is a little shop in the back of a hardware store in Greenwich that kicks ass. He will beat or at least match anyones prices. And is one of the nicest behind the counter guys you will ever meet. He has some S&W M&P22's today, I think he said they were like $450. Not sure what the going rate on these are but they gotta be better than the Umerex Colt 22.

True, they should get to you quickly, if they can. I've bought a few guns there and the process was always pretty OK for me, but lately their gun prices, while OK, don't tempt me as much.

Even Sportman's Den has some outrageously priced ammo, but not nearly as much as the Fin. Where their ammo prices are good, they're usually really good, though. Other stuff seems reasonably priced, as well.

Best deals at the Den can be had during their truckload sales. But you have to be willing to stand in line. $15.00 for a brick of wildcats is a good deal. They were $33 at the Fin the other day. Pistol ammo is still cheaper at walmart if you are there at the right time. I have been seeing alot of the Federal .40 there for $12.97 a box and $15 for the .45 just haven't seen much 9mm there lately.

They have bricks of Federal there everyday for $15.

Good enough deal for me.

Saw the $33 Wildcats at FFF. I laughed.

I bought a bunch of those blue bricks of Fed back last winter when they were $12 but they dont shoot for shit out of my 10/22. I also got some 500 rnd. boxes of that Wincherster Expert HV at walmart for like $14 and I seen that stuff at the Den the other day for $27. I was like WOW. Haven't even shot any of it may try it out soon to see if it's any good.
