I see there's a "Tri-State Gun Show" at the Allen County Fair Grounds near Lima, OH this weekend. I'm gonna be in the area and thought I might swing by.

http://www.allencountyfair.org/calendar.htm

Can anyone tell me about it?

Is it a good size show?

EBR's or Fudd's

Thanks,
Wedge

I haven't been there for a couple years now, but when I did go regularly it was mostly shotguns, handguns, bolt rifles, milsurps, and rimfires. There would be a few EBR's mixed in. And of course the obligatory beef jerky.  It may be different now with the spreading interest in EBR's.

Been there a couple of time, but what did impress me was that I found a 1911 front sight when everyone else had the 1911A1 sights.  Took almost two years to find the butter-knife front sight.

It's not a bad show, but it's what you might expect.  Some good stuff & lots of junk.  I go every month just because I live in Lima, but I would in no way go out of my way to go to it.  The prices are what you would expect, almost every seller there thinks you're an idiot and try to sell you used stuff at new prices.

Wedge,
I live near Dayton and I run up to Lima occasionally when there isn't much else going on that is closer. I kinda like the Lima show mainly because I see different faces and vendors. I don't usually see much difference in the prices but I will sometimes run into a deal on a small vendors table...Like most shows, you never know what you might find. I would recommend you give it a try.
P.S. Try the beef and noodles at the food counter

There are a few deals to be had at Tri State.

Wolf .223 at $300 per K

Blazer .45ACP at $17 per 50

I picked up a used G34 for $525 in good shape, an AR scope riser for $20 and a VFG for $26.

I couldn't find any decent deals on .22Lr though.

I saw a guy with a 550ct Remington .22LR for $30 and another guy with 100ct 9mm WWB for $42/box.

Was there any dealers with any AR's? If so did you notice any prices?
Thanks

The previous show had one AR that I would consider a current deal, it was a DPMS Sweet 16 for $895 out the door.

I didn't notice many other AR prices but the ones I did see were in the $1400 range for frankenguns and even a $2300 Colt.

I know the guy with the $42 WWB.

Next month is the last show this year until they start back up in the fall.

Sorry to hear you may have to sell, if you do have to sell I would put it up in the EE first for a larger audience. The Lima show isn't a great place to sell EBRs in my experiences.
