Alright guys, I'm relatively new here, so forgive me if i do everything wrong.
A while ago, i picked up a DPMS sportical. No frills, just a slick sided flat top with a crappy stock. I had just gotten into AR's and was about to wet my pants I was so excited. As i shot the thing more and more, i realized that it wasn't too accurate, the trigger was *blah* and i wanted something a little more trick. What I'm looking to do is build a MK 12-ish rifle for some long range bullet lobbing. I'd like to build the upper myself, but i dont have the balls, tools or experience to do it myself. Can anyone recommend a good ar-smith in southern ohio? |

Okay, so let me throw my objectives out there. (now everyone sit back and have a chuckle at me trying to post a photo)
Before http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/5061/beforeb.jpg After http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3314/afterx.png So basically what i need help with is mating an A3 upper (i know where i can get one) with an 18" stainless barrel (no idea where the hell to get that), threaded (machine shop or gunsmith?), and headspace it(still no idea wtf that really means) as cost effeciently as possible, seeing as i am a full-time student. Basically, I'd like to do the barrel/upper/threading as soon as possible before our grand leader says i can't. Free float, buis, and glass can wait. on a similar note, anybody interested in a DPMS sportical upper/stock and bushy holosight combo? |
